All chips were sealed with a protective dome by the original LED manufacturer. The primary optic degree is too broad and weak for our therapy purpose, so we use secondary lenses to cover each LED. This not only helps protect them but also allows us to collect and control the light to propagate in our desired directions. The lens degree options range from 15° to 120° normally, with smaller degrees resulting in more focused light and stronger photon energy, albeit at the expense of coverage area.
